Ain't she sweet... I affectionately refer to this van as the Serpico Bus. I bought it
with the stickers on it and was planning to peel them off, but everybody that sees
the bus loves the decals and thinks that Al Pacino's picture on the side of a split
window bus is just way too cool. If you're the lucky winner of this beauty and aren't
fond of Serpico, the stickers can be removed easily with a heat gun and a little
time.

This is a rare 1964 walk thru 11 window bus. It was originally a passenger bus, but
somebody put the Z-bed, fold-out table, and rear facing jump seat in it long ago.
You can either leave it the way it is, or refurbish the interior back to original. As
you can see in the pictures, it's a little rough around the edges and could use
some attention.

The body is very straight with both a dent free nose and rear corners. There is a
scrape just behind the drivers door which I tried to show in the pictures. There is
also a small scrape up high above the drivers side rear engine vents. I tried to
take pictures in sequence showing just how rust free the the under carriage is,
including the battery tray. The slight rust spots you do see are easily repairable.

Mechanically, the engine is a 1600 dual port which was recently rebuilt and runs
very well, unfortunately I did not receive any paperwork with it. The front end is
tight and doesn't drift or clunk. The electrical has been converted to 12 volt and
surprizingly most things work; horn, blinkers, head lights with hi-beam, lo-beam,
and wipers except that one arm is off underneath. I couldn't check the brake lights
by myself.

Now the not so good... the transaxle does not have second gear. The linkage is
really loose and it's hard to find first, but once your there you can shift from first to
third, then fourth and it drives great! I do have a rebuilt bus transaxle with
reduction boxes that I would be willing to sell for $800.00, which is what I paid for it
from Pine Beetle here in Colorado. I have a receipt and warranty with it, you would
just have to install it. The brakes are soft and could use some attention as well.

So what else...How about that rack??? You don't see those too often. I wasn't sure
if I really wanted to let it go with Serpico but it just suits it so well. If the buyer isn't
interested in it I'd be willing to "buy it back" so to speak. I'm not sure what more
there is to say. I feel like I'm leaving things out. If you have any questions feel free
to ask, and if your local and serious you're welcome to set-up a viewing. Also,
check-out my about "me" page by clicking on the "me" logo next to my feedback.

If you're interested in buying this great bus and live far away, plan on having it
shipped. I can get very competitive rates and would be happy to help arrange
shipping. One more thing, I'm open to offers and suggestions, you're welcome to
call me @ 720-270-5637 and maybe we can get creative about the price and
options. With that said, good luck bidding and remember...Buses rule !!!
Peace-out.
