Hey there, Welcome to my auction. If you have more time than money,  this
beautiful 1966 split-window bus might be just the VW for you. These early buses
are bringing more money everyday. This is an opportunity for the budget minded
person to buy an almost finished van at a very reasonable price.  The hard work
has been done, which I will list in the highlights. All that is left is the fun stuff which
anyone with even the slightest mechanical ability can enjoy doing. The nice thing
is  the lucky buyer can finish this bus to their own personal taste and style.

Basically this bus needs the interior finished with a new headliner and the front
and rear seats redone. The front sliding windows need to be rebuilt as well, and I
will include the felt kit to help complete that. The dash also needs to be put
together. I will include all the parts  that I received with bus when I purchased it.
This van will need some misc. parts, love and attention for sure but, the
satisfaction of completing this yourself is , how do you say; "priceless"

  • HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Rebuilt 1600 dual-port motor with new solex carb

  • Converted to 12 volt with new Interstate battery

  • Straight, rust free body, recently painted sweet turquoise and white

  • New door panels all the way around

  • New complete carpet kit

  • New window seals on front, side, and rear windows

  • Like new 15" tires mounted on powder coated wheels with new hubcaps

  • New gas tank

  • EXTRAS shown inside the bus;

  • New sun visors

  • New rear bumper

  • New front and side door seals

  • New felt sliders for front windows

  • Wolfsberg West in Calif. is a great source for any parts you may need

  • I also have a rear seat from a late model van that I forgot to take a picture
of, which I will include with this bus.

So like I said, this bus will need various parts, time, and energy to complete it.
You're probably wondering why I don't do it myself, so I included a picture of my
shop showing just a few of the projects I have going. Yeah, I have a bad habit of
taking on way too much at once, so sometimes it's better if  I let things go and give
somebody else a great deal. I actually bought this bus pretty much the way it is
with every intention of finishing it myself . The paint and bodywork is not perfect,
but it looks fantastic just the same. Whoever is the lucky high bidder will end up
with a really sweet ride. The engine runs great, the tranny shifts smooth, and the
steering feels tight. Add your personal finishing touches and you're cruising in
style just in time for spring.
