This beauty draws a crowd where ever it goes....I had just got to a local
park and was immediately surrounded by a throng of admiring kids
asking all kinds of questions... They really wanted to know if I actually
lived in the van or when I was going to take it to California? Anybody
want to go camping? Pack up the van and lets get back to nature...The
1971 Volkswagen van was a great year for the bay window Westfalia and
what a beauty it is. Recently repainted a beautiful Chianti Red and White
two-tone, this is a wonderful rust free pop-top camper van with all the
extras. The 1971 is a very desirable year due to the up-right dual port
motor and front disc brakes with power brake booster among other
things. There are maintenance records from 1981 until 1995. The fellow
that I purchased the van from had owned it from 1996 until 2008 and kept
the maintenance log which I will pass on to the lucky knew owners,
along with the original owners manual. Regrettably, he had to move
overseas. That's where I came in. This westy drives fantastic; has good
power, shifts smooth, tight front end, and really turns heads where ever
