Hello everybody, here’s another fine example of the ultimate camp mobile.
This Westfalia is the Champagne edition Deluxe model. This is a one year
only special model that has some unique features like chrome bumpers and
brown dash and interior panels. It included a built-in propane stove, sink
with electric pump and water reservoir, with electric refrigerator. It has
room “upstairs” for sleeping two adults, a fold-out bench seat that sleeps
two more, plus a child cot across the front. Talk about comfy cozy!
This van was painted the original Brown and Pastel White two tone and had
no rust rust or major repair prior to being painted. As a matter of fact, this
was one of the straightest most original vans that I've seen in a long time.
Just check out how beautiful and clean the original front floor is. The
interior is also the original retro plaid and looks just too cool. The front
seats have been professionally reupholstered with new padding for great
comfort. The pop-top has been replaced recently and looks like new. It is
the desirable three window version.
Mechanically this bus runs like dream, I was told that the engine was rebuilt
within the last 15,000 miles but I did not receive any paperwork with the bus.
The transaxle shifts smooth and doesn't whine, grind or pop out of gear.
The front end is tight and steers straight down the road. The brakes are in
great shape and stop smooth and strong. All the electrical is in working
order including; headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, horn,
wipers, and fuel gauge. One key works in the ignition and all the doors
which is very rare these days.
This bus is a blast to drive and looks great rolling down the highway or
cruising around town. You’ll enjoy many quite hours getting back to nature,
driving through the countryside, or listening to waves break on a near by
beach. Having the Champagne Edition adds rarity and style that you just
don't find in others Westys. As a licensed Colorado Dealer I have to sell the
