That 70's Bus!!! It just doesn't get much more retro than this, a time
machine in motion. Preserved in all its natural glory, you could be the
lucky owner of a fabulous piece of history. This bus was customized into
a functional weekender style camper back in 1978 and sold new at
Mountain States VW , the first VW dealership in Denver, Colorado. An
eclectic, artist woman bought it new and drove it in till just last year
when her eyesight finally prevented her from getting her license. She
then bequeathed it to a family friend who didn't have a place to keep it
and sold it to me. The amazing thing is that it only has 68,198 miles on it.
As a licensed Colorado dealer, I will have to sell the van as mileage
exempt per state law. OK, back to the fun stuff, how about the shag
carpet, and Herculean upholstery, doesn't it bring you back to Grandmas
house? Throw in the custom sunroof, vintage metal roof rack and split
bench seat which doubles as a bed and your ready for anything.
This bus was in exceptional condition when I purchased it. I had it
painted the factory Sage green because the original paint was faded and
there were some small nicks and scrapes here and there. ( I did tell you
that the artist eyesight was going) This bus is as original and rust free
as you could possibly imagine. It runs like a top and gets crazy attention
everywhere it goes...I could go on and on and on, but instead will just
