This bus was restored several years ago by a older gentleman named Wilford
and still looks great. I contemplated reworking it and making it look like new
again, but after so many people said how much they liked the way it looks
now....I decided to sell it the way it is and keep the price very reasonable.
The idea being that you can still look cool driving a mechanically sound
classic VW bus, but not have to spend too much.
Wilford had the front seats re upholstered and did all the custom door
panels himself to give the bus a great feel on the inside. He also had the bus
painted the classic Root beer brown with black bumpers and tinted windows
to give it a real groovy look. I added the sweet reproduction roof rack and
the white wall tires with beauty rings to finish it off. This bus turns heads
where ever it goes and is very fun to drive. It also has a older AM/FM CD
player with four speakers.
Mechanically this bus is in excellent condition with a low mileage rebuilt
engine which just had a major tune-up and oil change. Of course Wilford
could not find any paperwork for the rebuild so I won't be able to include it
with the sale. The bus does shift smooth and doesn't grind or pop-out of any
gears. The front end is tight and doesn't wander or clunk. The brakes were
recently replaced and stop straight with plenty of pedal. All the electrical
works including the lights, blinkers, wipers, etc...The factory heater works as
well. The windshield, the wipers, and the windshield seal are all new.
As I said earlier Wilford had it repainted a few years ago so the paint is a little
faded and does show some wear with a few dents and dings. I never tried
buffing it out but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. I took the pictures just as the sun
was setting which is why the color is darker in some. This van does have a
factory metal sunroof which does not open and was sealed with a small bead
of silicone by Wilford. I just learned that the cables are now available for
$125.00 each if someone wanted to get the sunroof working again.
Overall this is a great, rust free seven passenger bus that will bring
someone a lot of fun in the sun. Feel free to ask questions and your local

and due to the age of this van I will have to sell it as miles exempt. Sorry but
