| 1990 Volkswagen : Bus/Vanagon Wolfsberg |
This is about as clean of a Volkswagen Vanagon as you will ever see.
These are getting harder and harder to find especially in such great
condition. This is the rare weekender edition with the hard to come by
Automatic transmission. I have driven many buses and Vanagons in my
time and this is one of the nicest ones yet. The trans axle shifts smooth
with no hesitation or slipping. The front end is tight and doesn't wander
or clunk. The brakes are great and don't pull or grind. All the electrical
works including; headlights, taillights, turn signals, horn, heater, interior
lights, wipers, and even the windshield washer. The whole van just feels
tight and true driving down the road, with plenty of power and
confidence.
This rust free Vanagon has a very straight body and was repainted the
factory burgundy color before I purchased it so it looks fantastic. There
are a few chips here and there from normal wear but nothing too
noticeable. The interior is in excellent condition and looks to have been
very well taken care of. It's amazing how nice the seat upholstery, dash,
carpet, side panels and headliner are. It's just so clean inside and out
you will want to drive it simply for the sake of driving.
What makes this weekender edition so desirable is the fact that it's so
versatile. You can comfortably haul 7 people around or convert the rear
bench seat into a comfortable bed. I'm not sure if 7 people could sleep
on it, but hey ya never know. You also have the fold out table for eating
or playing cards ready at any time. You can also easily remove the rear
facing jump seats to give the van extra room for carrying larger items.
This particular van came with some nice options including A/C, Alloy
wheels,Power windows, and AM/FM Cassette. The A/C turns on and has
freon but could probably use a small charge. A couple of the heater
control lights in the dash don't illuminate as well. Other than that this is
an all around wonderful Vanagon ready to bring its lucky new owner
plenty of fun and enjoyment.
